Pre K-8 Assistant Principal. Springs UFSD seeks a dynamic and energetic individual to fill the vacancy position of Pre K-8 Assistant Principal. Candidates must possess a strong knowledge of instruction and evaluation, technology, behavior management, data analysis and data-informed decision making. NYS certification as a School Building Leader required. It is preferred that the successful candidate should have a minimum of five (5) years of teaching experience. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply. Duties Include: Assist the principal in the day-to-day operations of the building, and ensure the overall safety and well being of students and staff. Assist the principal in implementing and maintaining a robust Pre K-8 instructional program that is aligned with Next Generation Learning Standards. Promotes Social Emotional Learning Models best practices in diversity, equity and inclusivity for all stakeholders. Manages student disciplinary referrals, implements Restorative Practices and acts as DASA ( Dignity for All Students Act) coordinator for the district. Communicate and engage frequently with parents and students Be able to listen and empathize with staff, students and parents Collaborate with the district Testing Coordinator to successfully administer standardized tests. Conducts teacher evaluations using Danielson Rubric, and provides feedback that improves instruction. Helps design staff development opportunities consistent with district goals. Supervises all lunch and recess monitors. SALARY: 12 month position, competitive salary commensurate with experience.
